For keeping us safe and putting on a great modified duathlon. Saw lots of people turning in chips and leaving, only to get stuck in the mud at the parking lot
I had a great time and all the people I know that stayed and raced had a great time! As always thanks to all of the volunteers and staff. I know it must have been a rough morning for you and there will be much Monday morning quarterbacking, but IMHO, I thought the race was great despite a crummy and unsafe weather situation.
See you at Timberman!

I live 40 miles away (and am doing the 1/2 tomorrow) - -if the weather was anything like the weather at my house, I can DEFINITELY say that Keith and crew made the right decision -- I really hope people will refrain from second-guessing him on this one....
anycase, thanks in advance to all the great people who put on these great races. |

thanks! Trust me, we NEVER want to shorten a race or cancel a swim. It's not fun....But, safety is ALWAYS paramount.
We had some of the best folks in the business involved in the decision, with decades of experience. It was a decision between me, them, the police, medical, etc.
Keep in mind we also have a command center, with full radar, etc. Decisions are never made lightly....We knew what was coming, etc. We did the best we could under the circumstances. |

What I admired was that KJ and the crew obviously had "plan B" in place, and ready to be operated. Me and my two brothers stuck around.....awesome decision! Thanks KJ _________________ Keep It Real |

Wow, what a crazy time that was. I don't think the weather gods, Mother Nature, et. al. are smiling on EndorFun events.
Even if for some crazy reason the swim hadn't been cancelled there was no way I was getting into that water. There can be no second-guessing the decision you guys made. No race is worth the risk of getting fried by lightning. Being in transition was dangerous enough.
I wish I could have done the duathlon but another 2 hours of standing in the rain not knowing if it'd really go off was not in the cards.
Better luck next year, right? |

To echo everyone else's comments, I completely agree with KJ's decision to modify the race. If the triathlon was held, there was no way I was going in the water.
Once again, Endorfun proved to be a great organization. Thanks so much for all you do.
See you soon.
As always,

had seen the weather maps for what was suppose to be heading right for us you would really appreciate even more what was done....who knew the cell would split and go just north and just south of us! I was crazy! _________________ Terry in NH
