Sunday, November 21, 2010 . The race starts and finishes at Moody Gardens in Galveston . Race begins at 7:00AM in front of the Moody Gardens Visitors Center . Pre-race packet pick-up will take place at the Moody Gardens Visitor's Center on Saturday, November 20, 2010 , from 2:00-4:30PM . Race day packet pick-up will take place at the Moody Gardens Visitor's Center on Sunday, November 21, 2010 beginning at 5:30AM .


Just as you like it, FLAAAAATTTTTT and FAAAAAAAST…nary a hill to be found on this 6.2 mile course! You'll start at daybreak with a run along Hope Boulevard , and a sampling of the great Festival of Lights display at Moody Gardens . Then you'll head out to the Seawall with the surf and sun of the Gulf of Mexico just a few feet away. See the waves lapping the shores of Galveston, soak in the sea air, before heading back to the finish line at beautiful Moody Gardens. Take in amazing sights along the mile-long trail of over one million lights! A truly unique and special course in a truly unique and special place. It's a wonderful way to start your day of fun on Galveston Island!

There will be three (3) aid stations on the course with sport drink, water and energy gels. Aid stations will also have first-aid supplies including bandaids and Vaseline. The stations will be staffed by the best volunteers around trying to take home the "Battle by the Bay" first prize!

Great multicolor technical shirt, D-tag chip timing, great post-race spread, live entertainment on course, and stocked-to-the-gills aid stations. Be sure to order your commemorative Seawall Running Festival Beach Towel with your entry. You'll grab it at the finish, for post-race chillin' on the beach.
